switching direct/proxy connection

Hi, there's a little 'online/offline' button in the left corner of galeon, and AFAIR most other browsers have this feature too. Since i reduce disk cache to 0 for browsers connected to a 'wwwoffle' cache proxy, this button was of no use so far. But now i use to switch the proxy connection on and off more often. I'm expermimenting with ADSL flat now :) Unfortunately the 'turn direct connection on/off' feature was removed in galeon. Can i configure the on/offline button for switching between proxy/direct connection ? Is there any other possibity to have a button (a javacsript bookmarklet?) for this ?
