--disable-sound doesn't seem to work? (gnome 2.6)

I've used galeon for many years and am real sorry to see it go. Great great browser - thank you!

One thing that bugs me is not being able to disable the sound; like if I click on an entry on the context menu it makes a damn beeping noise. gnome sound-settings shows a sound assigned under "galeon" but I can't get rid of it. Nothing in gconf-editor that I can see (for galeon-only sound(s)).

I start galeon with "--disable-sound" - doesn't seem to have any effect,. Isn't there a way to make galeon stop making sounds? I don't want to have to disable all sounds just to get galeon to be quiet...

Mike
