It now fails at link time ;-):

This gtk_label_set_ellipsize is not a GTK+ 2.4 thing (at least I found it in
2.8, no idea about 2.6). Not that I can't build against GTK+ 2.8, but do you
really want to drop compatibility w/ GTK+ 2.4?
