Well, I'm not certain it was a bug. I hadn't been particularly
concentrating when I ran the xorg configuration, and it could well
be that I'd selected ExplorerPS/2 myself, without thinking about it.

I don't know what sort of mouse 'ExplorerPS/2' is - I've always used
ImPS/2 with Logitech wheel mice...
