The tab-width patch

Hello,

About a year ago, I inquired about making tab widths configurable, a feature
Galeon lost somewhere along the line. At the time, Stelian Ionescu provided
a patch that "re-enabled" that feature. The post is here:

Since that time I've been building galeon from source with each update so
that I could apply that patch, thinking that eventually it was going to get
incorporated into the mainline code, but it hasn't so I thought I'd bring it
up again. I'd love to be able to use standard package distributions to keep
up with Galeon upgrade rather than rebuild each time.

Any chance for this to be incorporated? Or, were there specific reasons why
it wasn't?
