What worked for me is that I went into the xorg.conf file and under mouse1 (or
whatever is the IMPS/2 thingy), where it previously said 

"ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"

I changed it to just

"ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

worked like a charm.

(UltimaLinux [slack based] using Firefox in KDE/Enlightenment)
