Michael, thanks for the reply.

I also have iceweasel installed, and it has no problem at all this
URL. Galeon, on the other hand, consistently hangs when I save the
page.   

One (perhaps) oddicity about this URL. When I do C-u in iceweasel, I
see the source code for the page. When I do it in galeon, I see bogus
source code. That is, what loads with C-u under galeon is a web page,
the body of which is in a <pre></pre> container, and represents what
looks like a primitive source code for the page, but is not. I don't
know if the author is trying to obfuscate his code, and don't know why
one browser actually shows the source code and the other the
simulation of source code. Odd. No time to pursue this puzzle.
