I meant a dialog (instead of an alert) While waiting on your responses I did the following: -- # update-desktop-database -- removed 'AdobeReader.desktop' in /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache in the line with application/pdf leaving there just 'xpdf.desktop'. That eliminates the need to select between those two viewers, and I may press 'open' at once.
