Sure:
 smart bookmarks bar (1.4.2):  hides bookmarks' names in the bookmarks bar

I also use favicon picker 2 (0.4.2.0): allows to replace bookmark icons
using the properties dialog. I use those add-ons in Firefox 2 and 3.
