Hi Nemo,

thank you. Recently Galeon stopped working for me after an xulrunner
update. Again... And this time I didn't have the nerve to fight it. So I
spent 3 full days until I was able to use firefox without getting mad
instead. I had given up on the colored tabs.

There are some things still missing, but I can live with them, and a few
things are better than galeon too.

So, in the same spirit, some more tips to make firefox bearable.

Extensions
- Add Bookmark Here 2 navigate to target folder, "add bookmark
                          here..."
- Favicon Picker 2 setting icons for bookmark folders and
                          bookmarklets
- Manage Folders open bookmark editor from the bookmark menu
- Tab Wheel Scroll scroll tabs with the scrollwheel

userChrome.css
- removed many items from the context menus, and added forward/backward
in (they were gone when text was selected!)
- removed the annoying history-arrow from back/forward (same as
  right-click)

vimperator
- move current tab with keyboard
- change proxy with keyboard

Still annoying (some more, some less)
- the sluggish animation the tabbar does when it has to scroll tabs
- it's impossible to have the reload-button between back/forward
- I can't get rid of the "home" caption of the home button
- Tab Wheel Scoll helps with the browser tabs, but doesn't affect the
  rest of the gui
- Favicon Picker only supports square and extremly tiny icons
- TabVisited only works until the first visit of the tab
- still no colors for unread tabs in the "tabs"-menu equivalent of ff
- %s-bookmarks work, but there is no default page when %s is empty
- if the current tab was blank while opening a bookmark folder, galeon
used it for the first bookmarked page instead of leaving it blank
- tabs opened via middle-click don't inherit the history of the parent
  tab!

On the plus side
- Vimperator!
- NoScript
- CookieSafe
- Adblock Plus
- Dom Inspector
- Greasemonkey
- Firebug
- RefControl
- zoom-settings per tab
- zoom font only / zoom whole page (switchable with vimperator)
- editing of textareas with a real editor (vimperator)

Cheers,
Moritz
