Hey Chad, Hmm, good point. To be honest, I've never actually tried running Drupal admin on a tablet/phone... My original thought was not to *add* an additional toolbar - Gallery already does a good job of adding the admin tasks to the existing menu bar. My first thought was that instead of refreshing the screen entirely and reloading an admin_wind-themed view, just put up a nearly-full-screen dialog box (not unlike Organize currently). I didn't *think* it'd be much more/less mobile-friendly than the current implementation, but I could easily be corrected :-) Take care, Shad On 22 February 2013 19:18, Chad Kieffer <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't have anything to add as far as the 3.1 roadmap is concerned. > > I see what you're getting at with the admin UI. I don't know, maybe this is an edge case. Based on my experience I think mobile admin is moving away from the edge. Relying on overlays and dialogs seems to complicate responsive design approaches and favor a separate admin UI. Drupal's overlays are almost unusable on iOS 6 phones. > > - Chad > > On Feb 22, 2013, at 10:40 AM, Shad Laws <shad-xpYdmXCiSuZWk0Htik3J/[email protected]> wrote: > >> Hey guys, >> >> Adding to what Bharat said, I have a couple other big things I'd like >> to see, too: >> >> - Add a few tweaks to our resize and thumb generation.
