Nux is a small, straightforward, and surprisingly effective open-source=20 extension of the XOM XML library. Features include: =95 Seamless W3C XQuery and XPath support for XOM, through Saxon. =95 Efficient and flexible pools and factories for XQueries, XSL=20 Transforms, as well as Builders that validate against various schema=20 languages, including W3C XML Schemas, DTDs, RELAX NG, Schematron, etc. =95 Serialization and deserialization of XOM XML documents to and from=20= =20 an efficient and compact custom binary XML data format (bnux format),=20 without loss or change of any information. =95 For simple and complex continuous queries and/or transformations=20 over very large or infinitely long XML input, a convenient streaming=20 path filter API combines full XQuery support with straightforward=20 filtering. =95 Glue for integration with JAXB and for queries over ill-formed HTML. =95 Well documented API. Ships in a jar file that weighs just 60 KB. Changelog: XOM serialization and deserialization performance is more than good=20 enough for most purposes. However, for particularly stringent=20 performance requirements this release adds "bnux", an option for=20 lightning-fast binary XML serialization and deserialization.=20 Contrasting bnux with XOM: =95 Serialization speedup: 2-7 (10-35 MB/s vs. 5 MB/s) =95 Deserialization speedup: 4-10 (20-50 MB/s vs. 5 MB/s) =95 XML data compression factor: 1.5 - 4 --=20 _______________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.as= p?SRC=3Dlycos10
