Gretings Joe, Yes, that patch turned out to be more complicated that I thought... "tests/Makefile" is generated from (indirectly) from "tests/Makefile.am" and "./Makefile.config". Since this last file is shared by all programs, it would affect the whole build process. I thought that, so close to the release, I wouldn't jeopardise the main program for the sake of the tests.
