htdig 2GB file size limit

I have compiled htdig-3.2.0b6 with --enable-bigfile and htdig still core dumps when db.words.db reaches 2GB. I have tried just about everything to remedy this problems with no luck. I am moving on to another search engine. Thanks to everyone for your help,
