DB2 problem htdig 3.1.6 and FreeBSD 5.3 (take 2)

I've compiled htdig 3.1.6 on FreeBSD 5.3.
I needed to set CXXFLAGS and CPPFLAGS first as is noted in FAQ q3.8
setenv CXXFLAGS -Wno-deprecated
setenv CPPFLAGS -Wno-deprecated

It's compiled using the builtin gcc 3.4.2

When running rundig the following happens. I'm running as root with
mode 777 set to /usr/htdig/db (just to make sure)

voyager# ./rundig -vc /usr/htdig/conf/htdig.conf
