Hello. htdig is not working on my webserver. I use apache2, on Debian
Etch. The version is 3.2.0b6-1. I installed it via the Debian packages.
When I used the version that came with Debian Sarge, it worked fine.
But it does not work with Etch. The file is at
/usr/lib/cgi-bin/htsearch, and the connection is
http://www.opseu540.info/cgi-bin/htsearch (www.opseu540.info being the
site I serve). From /etc/htdig/htdig.conf, it is set as:
# This specifies the URL where the robot (htdig) will start. You can
specify
# multiple URLs here. Just separate them by some whitespace.
# The example here will cause the ht://Dig homepage and related pages to be
# indexed.
# You could also index all the URLs in a file like so:
# start_url: `${common_dir}/start.url`
#
start_url: http://www.opseu540.info/
On the site, it should open with the command:
form method="post" action="http://www.opseu540.info/cgi-bin/htsearch"
This is how it was when I had it running on Sarge; so, I'm surprised
that it does not work with the set up on Etch. I've run the "rundig"
command, which was successful. Is there something different with this
newer htdig?
If anyone has any suggestions, I'll appreciate it. I'm stumped.
Mark
