I had a similar problem but with a slightly different face: no problem in ./configure, but an error during 'make'. So I switched to the RPM included in the distribution (Fedora Core 5). It works, BUT it acts differently: I used to run 'rundig' with different configuration files using -c options (one for every website), and everything always worked. With the RPM version, the database gets built but in the end I got an error "Unable to find ... /etc/htdig/htdig.conf" by 'htfuzzy'. I had to move/rename htdig.conf in order to put every database in a different directory, which name is into the config file. I also tried to keep the original htdig.conf in place, but in that case htfuzzy complains that it cannot find /var/lib/htdig/db.words.db (probably the standard location for the database). Please note that I only want htdig to search for COMPLETE words, so in the configuration file I disabled every other kind of search (or at least I tried to). Any ideas?
