Good Morning,
my name is Gian Franco Fiorentini. I'm an italian student of Information Tecnology. I'm working on a project that forecasts the realization of a parser for a HTML editor generating HTML code, accessibility standards compliant.
Well, this editor needs a parser checking user's HTML code, in order to verify if it's accessible HTML compliant or not, and if there were errors, where they are and of which kind.
So, I've found and tried your HTML Tidy. The editor has been built using C++ and MFC libraries, to perform the interface. I've also used the C++ wrapper provided at sourceforge.net, in the Tidy dedicated section, in order to link the C++ code to the ANSI C Tidy code. I'm currently using the Tidy parse engine, without problems, but I don't succeed in linking to the parsing tree navigation functions. I would like to ask you some hints. When I've been starting to use the parse engine, I've exploited the functionality of the function "tidyParseString( _tdoc, content)" and I succeded in parsing HTML pages. But now I should use the parsing tree navigation functions, and calling the "tidyGetParent( tnod() )", I obtain an unhandled exception, during the debugging operation, when calling the "tidyImplToNode( nimp->parent )".
So, I would like to ask you if there is any particular method to start navigating the parse tree, and if the navigation is available each moment, or available only after a parsing activity on a document.
I would like to thank you for your attention, and I'm sorry if I'm causing you any disturb.
Gian Franco Fiorentini
