Re: when did tidy start copying name to id, and can this be disabled?

In HTML, it seems like a "bad thing" to depend on different interpretations 
of name and id attributes.  For XML, it probably not a good thing 
either.  IIRC, the motivation for this change was based on the HTML 4 spec.

I think this goes back a few years now, but can someone answer Christina 
more definitively?
