A first step could be to introduce the parameter function and base the current implementation on it. A simple regular expression could do the work on the source. Then an API versioning could be introduced. Two DLLs one implementing the old API and one the simplified new one. Alternatively freeze this one and start a new project. Never be shy to use the big hammer on your project. It helps very much. First break it to pieces and then rebuild it. BTW In the Open Source project i participate in there is no binary compatibility or API compatibility guaranteed. It makes development so much easier. -- Robert Marquardt (Team JEDI) http://delphi-jedi.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
