Trying to convert web pages into XHTML

Hi all,

When I try to convert some web pages to XHTML, sometimes appears erros like:

value of attribute "align" cannot be "absmiddle"; must be one of "top", "middle", "bottom", "left", "right";

required attribute "alt" not specified;

ID "man2" already defined;

there is no attribute "border";

general entity "lid" not defined and no default entity;

Can these kind of errors be removed just using functions of HTML Tidy library or they need the author's intervention?
