help?

My HTML is a hot mess and I have no idea how to fix it. I've spent two days reading and attempting to use all the tidy type tools and info out there and all am left with is a pile of errors and no clue how to fix them. What prompted me to look into this is that I noticed my blog doesn't display correctly in Internet Explorer. That is the biggest issue I'm trying to fix. What does someone like me do next?
