Pay for patch/enancement idea (was Re: [bitplan] Re: AW: Fork proposal)

Now that is very intriguing. The mechanics could be interesting.  
Anybody else have any thoughts on this? Would you be willing to pay  
for modifications? Submit them if there was bidding on them?
