No, actually, it's not. It was written before commons httpclient was  
available, and most of the client logic is used for both HttpUnit and  
ServletUnit, which would make using HttpClient problematic.
But it does use JSSE, which should have this capability. I have  
somebody at work who knows JSSE very well, and can ask him for  
assistance on this.
