Sizing up the developer team

Dear httpunit developers,

I'm feeling that those who are tentatively thinking
about joing the development team might want to give it a
try before all open bugs of the 1.6.2 release are
closed. Otherwise we end up with a development team of
around 1 person per 100.000 downloads and that is a bit
small.

Currently there are 73 out of 407 existing bug reports
left open. As you can see by the statistics of the last
few days depending on how much time you put into this
and whether bulk replies are used you can get a bug done
in between a few seconds and 1 or 2 hours.

Please don't rely on me and Russell doing this alone
because you might end up with having noone doing it for
a few months again.

Date Tracker items opened (closed)
04 Apr 2008 0 (13)
03 Apr 2008 0 (4)
02 Apr 2008 1 (16)

31 Mar 2008 0 (140)
30 Mar 2008 0 (12)
29 Mar 2008 0 (8)

Please give it a try and let me know the bug numbers
you'd like to work on from:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=106550&group_id=6550&func=browse

So that I won't touch them while I'm working on during
the upcoming weeks.

Russell - could you please set up the pending time for
bugs to a few months? The current reaction time is 14
days so that some bugs I set to "pending" were already
automatically closed.

Yours
  Wolfgang
