at the current state of httpunit there is no hope to be 
able to use it with most Ajax solutions.

You might want to try htmlunit or selenium and be aware 
that for Ajax testing your testing framework needs to be 
really close to your particular web brower's 
implementation so it might make a difference which 
vendor your browser comes from and what version you are 
using.
