apparently so do the amazing array of folks they tour with like Wilco,
Radiohead and the Flaming Lips.
They rejected a story on nanotechnology, but accepted one on talking

The other night that changed because what I witnessed was a true
performer. He broke a string and soloed all the way through it. Mark and
Steve have known each other for a long time.
