hello. i have an suggestion regarding links + openmosix.
openmosix can only migrate fork'ed processes communicating with
'base' process via pipes, or filesystem fifos...
currently links doesn't spawn as much threads as images to
render, and lines/pages of text to render...
also - as openmosix can migrate processes due to memory
requirements, links could spawn 'cache' and 'javascript' forks
, which could migrate to machine with more ram, if one we run
on is in short with memory . same could be with font-cache,
image-cache, etc...
aha, openmosix can't migrate pthreads, so fork&pipe is only
available method of 'threading' right now...
the 'main' links binary does migrate over cluster now, but as it
is single threaded app it can't distribute it's work, it just
finds fastest/less loaded machine/machine with lot of ram (if
required to display large page)...
i wish you happy hacking around this problem :)
