[links] mis(?)-substitution of '\' characters in url

The weird thing is that http.c (and an accompanying socat session) reveal
that a substitution of all '\' characters to '/' is performed unconditionally.

It also seems that konqueror and epiphany do not do this.

Hence my mail.
