[links] how do i make links secure?

i am currently using links downloaded from ibiblio.org in pkg form
but this form will not get me to https secure sites. where can i find 
instructions and source for setting up a secure form of links on
solaris 7. i have openssl installed (from ibiblio of course), but i
apparently need to recompile links to make it use openssl.
