Url problem

Somebody not posted to this list is having a login problem on an url. He gets "wrong username and/or password" when logging in. However, the username and password work using lynx. a blank entry in lynx produces the same errors as the correct entry in links, so i assume the data is actually never reaching the correct link at the website or is not being processed.
