I then tested c2d1952a082e2ed51dbfb6895f29c0869a89a8a3 from the witekfl branch in the same way. The only difference I could see was that in this version, when the cursor was already on some character of the link, pressing Alt+a moved it to the beginning of the link, rather than left it in place as in master.
