I didn't think Lynx was aria aware, and I also thought aria used 
attributes, not elements, that basically told the browser to treat the 
element as though it were a different one.  I think we would need to see 
the actual HTML fragment, but the 13605 will be something that means 
something for the site, not something that has any meaning to Lynx.

My, cynical, view is that aria aims to give the true semantics when the 
HTML is being abused, for presentational side effects.  You can have a 
"web-designer" create the HTML, without regard to semantic markup, then 
have the accessibility consultant explain it to screen readers using 
aria attributes.
