I presume you're using the control+x followed by control+e to invoke
your editor on the form/textbox, correct?

If it's a local file, I believe you can type "e" to invoke your
editor on the currently-showing file.  It doesn't seem to work for
remote files, so you'd have to download it locally ("d"), possibly
to a temporary-file, and then use the "e" to edit the lcoal copy,

Alternatively, you can edit the file directly in your editor

  $ vi draftfile.txt

(with whatever your preferred editor is if it's not vi) and then
invoke lynx on it from within the editor, like

  :!lynx %

if you use vi (you'd have to mention what your editor-of-choice is
if it differs, since it likely has a different way of invoking an
external viewer).  Once you're done previewing, you can quit to
return back to your editor.
