It basically says that a browser built in 2007 will not be acceptable to 
nearly all web sites, because it will not be compatible with the 
requirement to use https with a TLS version of at least 1.2, that the 
vast majority of the web has bought into.

The site will redirect any http access to https, and the TLS handshake 
will fail, because he will be offering at most TLS 1.1, and they will 
only accept, at least, TLS 1.2.

The OP is using a Mac machine, so will certainly be capable of using a 
GUI, and they also have said they can access the sites, presumably with 
a different browser, and maybe using a different platform, so I think is 
safe to assume they could use Google.
