rendering beta

	946 decimal, not 946 hex.
	I don't remember when hex rendered beta as ß - perhaps it was
never.  I have my own customizations but I never report a problem
unless it happens in the released version.  Perhaps I rewrote it to.
	I just rewrote entities.h to do that for me.  I can
distinguish cases from context.
	Is it a bug that changes to entities.h don't cause
dependencies to rebuild?  I had to do a make clean.  I don't mind,
just asking.  It's not a burden; customizers can't be beggars.
