Perhaps, but filenames are all we have, we don’t have MIME assignments
in the Unix filesystem, after all.

It works, but give the user a way to override this.

I think lynx shouldn’t change what it already does, to default to
plaintext, but making the backslash into a toggle *towards* HTML
for files rendered as plaintext is a good idea.
