Quoth Karen Lewellen: 'with my birthday in the middle.'
	Harry Birthday!

'control u or control k creating an empty field for a filename
to be saved that I will remember. Does that make more sense?
'The field is empty so you can provide the file name you
actually want, instead of extra characters.'
	I want to turn 20260822_wesat_week_in_politics_canada_talks_collapse_u.s._economic_d-day_record_national_debt.mp3?t=progseg&e=nx-s1-5779790&p=7&seg=1&d=272&size=4356015&sc=siteplayer&aw_0_1st.playerid=siteplayer
into 20260822_wesat_week_in_politics_canada_talks_collapse_u.s._economic_d-day_record_national_debt.mp3
If I use ctrl-u I have to key in
20260822_wesat_week_in_politics_canada_talks_collapse_u.s._economic_d-day_record_national_debt.mp3
I don't want to do that. That's what my tactic avoids. I don't want
to think up a name, key it in.

Quoth Karen Lewellen: 'I can personally think of no universe
where I would simply download a bunch of files and work through them
later...'
That's you. I download all segments of 'All Things
Considered' (etc.). When I watched 'Saturday night live' I downloaded
all segments with yt-dlp, decided which to watch, which is now none,
but that's me. Outside of audio and video media I often download HTML
and other text files that have spaces or metacharacters or non-ASCII
characters in their names. I have automated 'fixing' those. I don't
say you should do any of those things. I don't understand your
complaint that others might.
