That is because they are  not in Debian, or not that I am aware.    I do 
not use Linux directly, but 
DOS reaching shellworld via ssh TELNET.  I play all files off line using 
these  utilities.
There may be a Linux compile of mpxplay, but playany, at least my copy is 
in  DOS.
