Hi All, I'd like to announce the beta release of my latest module, MasonX::ApacheHandler::WithCallbacks, currently wending its way to the CPAN. This module subclasses HTML::Mason::ApacheHandler to add callbacks to HTML::Mason request handling. Based on an idea from Bricolage, it allows developers to trigger the execution of code early in the Mason request process, before Mason creates or executes its component stack. The advantage here is that such code can alter the Mason %ARGS hash, preprocess arguments, or even redirect the request based on data submitted in an HTML form field. More reasons why you'd want to do this are included in the documentation. I'm pretty happy with the implementation (it being that I only completely rewrote it twice in the course of the last few days), but would welcome feedback. See the TODO section of the documentation for some of the ideas I'm bouncing around, and let me know what you think of the interface.
