It's not really an option for the stable series.  I am, however, inclined
to just release 1.26 and tell 5.00503 that there is a heisenbug.  Since it
appears with older versions as well, and no one's complained on the list,
I'm guessing that we don't have all that many people using 5.00503, or
maybe the bug only happens to me.
