Yeah, that's why we're implementing <%if> </%if> and <%while> </%while> 
for 1.3. :)

No, I agree with you, Dave, obviously everything can't have a matching 
closing tag unless you're an xslt programmer. But this compromise syntax 
seems reasonable - easy to document, backwards compatible, fully 
optional, and requested by multiple users.

I'll add it to the list.
