New bug #572: comp_exists does not work with special paths, subcomponents, or methods
One would expect (given no documentation to the contrary)
that $m->comp_exists works with any path accepted by
$m->comp. In fact, comp_exists will not work with SELF,
PARENT, REQUEST, subcomponents, or method paths like
foo:bar. The code for handling all of these special cases is
in Request::fetch_comp, which is not called by comp_exists.
We can either try to support these cases or just document
the comp_exists limitations.
