Have to disagree, I use Mason to generate httpd.conf files all the time. In fact Poet will have a plugin to do just that.

But for the specific Mason interpreter that Poet creates to answer web requests, I am leaning towards escaping html by default, as long as there are various convenient ways to turn it off.
