Hi Jeff, I'm certainly willing to give it a shot. Like you said, the code base is very easy to understand so there shouldn't be any problems. I'll make a patch and some test cases that you can have a look at. If it fits nicely into the design, it could be incorporated into CVS. This would add flexibility to Maverick, IMO, without much effort or intrusiveness. If you're volunteering to investigate the approach :-) Maverick evolves in an as-you-need-it kind of way. If you have a specific need, try to fit it into the framework - the code is very simple and easy to understand. I suggest kicking off the discussion by defining a set of requirements or maybe an interface or two that you would like to see satisified.
