model encoding in maverick (domify)

Hi All,

I'm playing with maverick + domify + xslt have the following issues:

 - static xml with UTF-8 encoded text in the result page is broken
(without transformation
   all fine)
 - UTF-8 encoded text, that comes from the controller, is broken, with
or without
   transformation
 - encoded text that is in XSLT always ok

can you advice what lever should I pull?
