Controller Pipeline

I recall some discussion regarding creating a controller pipeline a while
back, with the context being propagated from one controller to the next. Is
this doable in Maverick today? RTFM suggestions apart, the B5 in Appendix B
of the FAQ had something to say about this. But it was very minimalistic.
