Understood, but I'm afraid we don't use MidCOM. By necessity we are
running on a heavily customized nadmin system, using Midgard 1.4.4,
porting the system to MidCOM would be very expensive.

So, basically, all we need is the 1.4.4 core functionality (which is
working just fine) running on the PHP5 platform.
