With mysql and apache running, you can now proceed to the next step  
of the midgard configuration process  -

open the terminal window, type "sudo su" and then follow the steps here:

http://www.midgard-project.org/documentation/installation/database.html

the passwords you need are as follows:

- mysql root user: root, password: midgard
