user management

Hi,

I am trying to implement a website with a restricted member area. 
How can I separate this group from accessing the midcom/aegir 
interface? 

explanation:
I tried creating a midgard user group, with no editor rights. 
However, they could still login into midcom and access the ais. I 
could remove the "login-link" in the midcom template, still somebody 
with some knowledge could still find it.

I took a look at the net.nemein.registrations module. However, it 
does not offer yet the possibility to manage the accounts and change 
the password at a later stage.

Is there another way to implement a frontend user management 
available?
